I found these two ceramic wall art baskets at the thrift store for $6 each—a lovely pair with plenty of potential.
I gave both pieces a thorough cleaning to remove any dirt and dust.
Next, I gathered my Waverly Snow White paint to give them a fresh, updated look.
I painted both ceramic baskets white, working the paint into the detailed areas.
Here’s how they looked at this stage. It took two coats of paint to get even coverage.
Next, I reached for my Waverly Antique Wax to bring out the beautiful details.
I applied the wax in small sections, working on one area at a time.
Using a baby wipe, I gently wiped away some of the wax, leaving more in the creases and crevices to highlight the raised design.
For the finishing touch, I lightly rubbed a little Rub ’n Buff onto selected areas of each ceramic basket.
Here’s the finished pair! The soft white finish, antique wax, and subtle Rub ’n Buff accents gave these thrifted pieces a beautifully renewed look.
Perfect for a bedroom, living room or entryway.
