This project is beginner-friendly, budget-conscious, and gives new life to something that might otherwise be overlooked.
I found this silver platter at my local Goodwill store.
First, I removed all the tags and thoroughly cleaned the platter using soap and water.
Next, I lightly sanded the surface to help the paint adhere better.
I then applied two coats of primer, allowing each coat to dry completely.
For the base color, I chose Waverly Snow White chalk paint.
Instead of using a brush, I used a sponge to apply the paint to avoid visible brush strokes.
I applied two coats of the white paint for full coverage.
For the design, I selected a set of beautiful bunny transfers to place in the center of the platter.
The bunny was place in the middle along with some greenery on the sides.
To enhance the overall look, I decided to incorporate a touch of gold.
I carefully painted gold detailing around the rim of the platter.
I decoupage the entire platter.
I also found this plate easel at the Goodwill store.
This is the finished product.
A perfect display.
