I found this medium-sized terracotta pot that I bought last year.
I started by painting the pot with Harvest Orange acrylic paint by Apple Barrel.
This is what the pot looked like after the paint had completely dried.
Next, I used Nutmeg Brown acrylic paint by Apple Barrel.
I added a few subtle lines around the pot to give it a little more depth and character.
This step isn’t shown, but I used a baby wipe to gently wipe back some of the Nutmeg Brown paint for a softer, more natural look.
Next, I grabbed my bag of small wood stems.
I placed one of the stems into the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot. It was almost a perfect fit! Once I had it positioned the way I wanted, I hot glued it securely in place.
Next, I grabbed a few ribbons from Hobby Lobby and cut them to create a messy bow.
I hot glued the bow and a few leaves onto the pot to add the finishing touches.
