Yellow End Table Make Over

Yellow end table.
I found this very yellow end table at the Goodwill store.
Citristrip  Paint stripper
I wanted to first use my sander and remove the paint. But there were about 3 or 4 layers of different color paints on the end table. I decided to use paint stripper instead.

After 30 minutes I started scraping the paint with my scraper, but there still was a lot of paint. So I added some more of the paint stripper. After another 30 minutes I removed the remainder of the paint.

Now that the paint has been removed, I filled all the holes that appeared on the table. Then I used sandpaper to lightly sand the entire end table. Not showing here, I did add a backing to the end table.

Van Dyke Brown glaze stain.
Next, I wanted to tone down the green by using Paint Couture, Van Dyke Brown glaze stain. This is another product that I’m using for the first time.
The inside of the drawer painted maroon.
I painted the inside of the drawer maroon. I wanted a dark color to go with the olive green color.

I added a small molding design on the draw with a small knob. Also, I added a floral transfer to the inside backing of the end table.
