Wood Scarecrows

Scrap wood
These are two scrap woods that I had on hand.
Black Cherry stain.
I used black cherry stain on the two woods.
Wiping stain of the wood.
I quickly wiped the stain off with a paper towel to get the color wanted.
Hand draw eyes to wood.
When the stain dried, I hand drawn the eyes, nose and mouth the scarecrow. But on one of the scarecrows, I wanted to add wiggle eyes instead of drawn eyes.
Paint colors
These are the three paint colors that was needed for this project.
Painted eyes on the wood.
Next, I painted my eyes, nose and mouth of the scarecrows.

Burlap
Next, I found this Dollar Tree burlap cloth the I had from last year. This will be the scarecrows hat.
Wiggle eyes and burlap.
I placed it and glued it to the top of the scarecrows.
Twine
Twine was used to tie off the top of the burlap hat.
Two wood scarecrows
This is what the scarecrows look like so far.
Raffia
Raffia for the hair. But at the last minute I decided to use twine and braid the twine for hair of one of the scarecrows.
Floral and berries.
Dollar Tree floral added to the hat.
