DIY Paintbrush Gnomes – Cute & Easy Christmas Craft Using Dollar Tree Supplies

Two paint brushes.
I picked up these two paintbrushes from Dollar Tree, perfect for transforming into cute Christmas gnomes.
Blue paint brush
I painted the larger paintbrush a bright, cheerful blue.
Red paint brush
The smaller paintbrush got a festive coat of deep red.
Paint brushes taped
I taped off the upper portion of both handles and painted the lower section white, leaving part of the brushes unpainted for a rustic look.
Red and white paint brush
After the red paint dried, I lightly dry-brushed white paint over it to give it a worn, snowy finish.
Blue and white paint brush with white dots
For the blue handle, I used a white paint pen to add playful polka dots.
Red and blue paint brush, bristles white and two bead nose
Next, I hot-glued a wooden bead onto each brush to create the gnome noses.
Red and blue paint brush, bristles white, twine mustache and two bead nose
A small piece of twine was then hot-glued just above each nose to form the gnomes’ mustaches.
Blue polka dot brush with twine.
To make them hangable, I attached loops of twine to the top of each paintbrush handle.
Top of red and blue paint brush, black and white and tan bow and twine
I added a cute bow to each one to give my gnomes a little extra charm.
Two handcrafted Christmas gnome ornaments made from paintbrushes, decorated with painted handles, small bows, twine trim, and fluffy bristles resembling beards.
And here they are — my finished paintbrush gnomes, ready to bring some holiday cheer!
