Christmas Birdhouse

Barn house birdhouse
I found this barn style birdhouse for about $3 at the Goodwill store.
Scrap wood
I had this piece of wood from a previous project that I will be using for the base of this birdhouse.
Waverly Plaster Chalk
I first started off with this Waverly Chalk Plaster paint.
White birdhouse
I painted the birdhouse with 2 coats, the Waverly Chalk Plaster. (before painting I did a light sanding)

I also painted the wood with 2 coats of the Waverly Chalk Plaster. (before painting I did a light sanding)
Hot glue icicle
I took my glue gun to create the icicles that will be placed at the roof of the birdhouse.

I hot glued the icicles to the roof to the house.

Next, I added some baking powder to some white Waverly Chalk Plaster to create texture for snow. I added the paint on the roof and the icicles. I then added a little glitter to the snow.
A hole in the birdhouse.
Before going any further I drilled a hole in the back of the house.
Stream fairy lights through the hole of the birdhouse.
I inserted fairy lights through the hole.
Small Christmas tree.
I had this Dollar Tree Christmas tree, but I wanted to add some berries to the tree.
Berries
These berries were part of a bundle I also got at Dollar Tree.

This is what the tree looks like once the berries were hot glued on.
Gingerbread molds
I wanted to add a couple of gingerbread and floral to the project. So, I pulled out these two molds. I used Das clay to mold my gingerbread and floral.
Assorted Paints.
These are the colors that were used to color the molds.
Painted wreath, gingerbread mold.
This is what the molds look like after being painted.
White birdhouse with wreath, icicles and garland
I hot glued a wreath that I got from Amazon last year and the painted mold floral to the front of the house.

After looking at the house I decided to add lights to the wreath.
Craft snow
I found this snow from last year, and I wanted to add it to the painted wood base.
Craft snow and glitter added to wood.
I added some paint to the wood so that the snow would stick to it. I then turned the wood over to remove the extra snow that did not stick.

I used wood glue to glue down the birdhouse to the wood. Next, I hot glued the Christmas tree to the wood. (not shown I painted the base of the tree a chestnut color). I added more fairy lights to the Christmas tree and under the roof of the house.
