A bread box find.

This was the inside of the bread box.
The back of bread box
This was the back of the bread box. There were three layers of sticker and contact paper.
Removal of the back of a bread box.
I tried to remove the stickers and contact paper but was not able to remove any of them. So, I removed the back and added a new fitted wood backing.
Bread box
I removed the sticker from the top and side of the bread box, gave it a good cleaning and filled all the holes with wood filler.
Sanding the filled holes of bread box.
Next, I gave the bread box a good sanding and again wiped it clean.
Chalk Mineral paint black.
I chose Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint Caviar because I wanted a dark bread box.

I applied two coats to the bread box.

 and a print of an image of a loaf of bread.
Linen White Chalk paint.
I wanted to paint the inside of the box a light color since the outside was a dark color. I chose Rust-Oleum Chalked Linen White paint.
Printed bread label decoupaged to inside of bread box.
Then decoupage the word bread to the inside back of the bread box.

Then the loaf of bread image to the base of the bread box.
Paper rubbed off to reveal the word bread.
The next day I rubbed off the paper from the images with a little bit of water until all the paper was removed and I had clear images of the text bread.

The last thing to do was to add a couple of coats of topcoat to the inside and the outside of the bread box.
