DIY Christmas Bell Decoration – Rustic Holiday Mantel Accent

White Christmas bell
I found this bell at Goodwill, and although my original “before” photo was accidentally deleted, I began by giving it two full coats of white paint.
Green, red, and gold paint. Gold Rub'n Buff and black wax.
These are the paint colors I used for the project: White chalk paint, gold paint, green and red acrylics, dark wax, gold paint, and Rub’n Buff (gold)
Hexagon painted gold.
After painting the bell white, I painted the piece at the top of the bell gold.

Next, I painted the garland and berries, applying two coats for solid color and coverage.

Once all the paint was dry, I used a sponge to apply dark wax, wiping most of it off to create a soft, aged, rustic finish.

Then I lightly sponged on gold watered paint and gently wiped it away to add warmth and subtle shimmer.

Next, I took the Rub’n Buff.

To highlight the details, I applied Rub’n Buff to the leaves, berries, and the top of the bell. This step added beautiful depth and a realistic metallic touch.

Finally, I tied on a small red ribbon, and the bell was completely transformed from a simple thrifted find into a charming Christmas decoration.
