I pulled off the metal piece on top and put it to side to place back on the ornament later.
I got this peel and stick tile on Amazon.
Next, I placed the tile on the ornament and cut off the extra to fit the ornament.
These are the paint colors that was used for this project.
I painted the entire tin with real red paint, then took the black paint and dry brush across the entire ornament. Not shown here, I decided to add a little Rub’n Buff Antique Gold on some of the raised areas.
I taken two Dollar Tree bells that I wanted to hang on the ornament.
Next, I painted the bells nutmeg brown.
Then while the paint was still wet, I added ground cinnamon to give vintage look.
I hot glued the top back on. But before I did that, I painted it black then the metallic gold. But I wanted some black to show through. Then added a little Rub’n Buff.
Here I added some ribbons, a pinecone and the two painted bells, which are hanging from twine.
I flipped it over to hot glue a thick piece of twine so there can be an option to also hang.
